In an interview, the singer talks about her new album, Vilã, and her presentation at the festival
Ludmilla performs at Lollapalooza on the main stage after singing on the Sunset stage of Rock in Rio, 2022. Which shows that the career and fame of one of the greatest Brazilian pop singers continues to grow.
The singer says she doesn’t think much of performing at other festivals as a dream. But she wants to continue to explore the many layers of her personality about her.
“My schedule is organized to be one part dedicated to pop and one part to pagode. And it will be like this because pagode came with everything and I’ve always loved that rhythm. It’s one of my favorite genres. So much so that you first know Ludmilla pagodeira “I’ve always sung pagodas at my house, with my friends. So now that everyone is having fun with me, even better,” she says.
For Lollapalooza, Ludmilla promises a show very similar to what happened at Rock in Rio in September, but with some hints of the new album, evil. “We’re closing an era that started there at Rock in Rio in September and then enter Scoundrel. For this I made some changes to the show, I didn’t change everything. The stage is different, the scales, some song arrangements,” she says.
From the new album come the songs “Only one“, which has over 5 million plays on Spotify and”all crazy“, which according to the artist is the face of the festival. “We’re having fun. That’s what we’re doing at Lollapalooza, which is one big party. I want everyone to go crazy,” she says.
evil is the singer’s first studio album since 2016’s “A Danada Sou Eu”. Subsequently, she released “Hello World”of 2019, one live album and four Numonic. Unlike all other releases, the new album follows with an R&B imprint and a darker side from the singer, who admits he was inspired by SZA.
It’s not yet known which songs will receive clips, but some will. For this year she has also promised to Lud session and, in June, another session Numonicity.
“OR Numenice it’s pagodas and that reminds me of something really good, a beer, standing in the sand. Pop, on the other hand, is more dramatic, so it’s my time to be more dramatic, more artistic, and I put intonation into everything I do. So if I’m angry it’s very angry, if I’m happy it’s very happy. I have this freedom to express myself. And I show the audience that there is a difference from Ludmillas, ”she said.
