Karo Premier 11 hosted the secular premiere of the detective thriller “Aita” – a new work by Stepan Burnashev, one of the main directors of modern Russian cinema. An exciting thriller in the best traditions of smart Hollywood has already become a triumph at the Winter Film Festival, taking awards for best director and best male role, and continues to collect rave reviews from film critics, bloggers and viewers. That evening, Irina Bezrukova, Nadya Ruchka, Yana Krainova, Alexander Enbert, Vlad Lisovets, Yulia Khlynina, Zhenya Malakhova and many others were among the first to see the film in wide distribution.









The plot of “Aita” develops rapidly: after a school party, the girl Aita dies, and a note with the name of Afonya is found in her pocket. That is the name of the district police officer who gave her a ride home, and now he is the main suspect. Residents of the city demand reprisals. Ahead of the siege of the police station, the confrontation between the mind and emotions and an attempt to find the truth.
One of the main problems of modern society, especially in the ever-increasing information field, is the speed of people’s judgments based on speculation and other people’s arguments, which ultimately leads to incorrect conclusions and sometimes devastating human tragedies. With the help of the film, I wanted to show the complexity and responsibility of such conclusions. And that false arguments can affect not only other people’s lives, but also their own, – director Stepan Burnashev shared with the audience.
