In her appearance as an actress, Jennifer Lopez has charmed Hollywood with more than twenty films, thanks to which she has endless unusual stories on the recording sets.

For example, regarding his most recent film, “Shotgun Wedding” (or “Lead Weddings”) he said that he was going to fall off a cliff during filming.

More recently, his incident with Jane Fonda in “Monster-In-Law” resurfaced.

Jane Fonda Says Jennifer Lopez Hurt Her In ‘Monster-In-Law’ Scene

In “If you mary, I’ll kill you” (Spanish title of the film), the now 85-year-old actress played Violet, a mother-in-law who is willing to do anything to prevent her son from marrying Charlie. (played by JLo).

Although the tape was not well received by critics, the story became a classic in the careers of each of the actresses.

17 years after its premiere, Jane Fonda revealed an unknown detail of the recordings.

During his time on The Drew Barrymore Show on March 23, the Hollywood legend was asked to share behind-the-scenes details of his most iconic films. When it came time for “Monster-In-Law,” he said:

“The first thing that comes to mind is the slapping scene. I slap her, she slaps me…”.

Amidst the blows, she ended up hurt:

“Jennifer had a huge diamond ring, so one of the times she slapped me, she cut my eyebrow.”
“And she never apologized,” Jane Fonda added of her scene with Jennifer Lopez.

Although JLo has not publicly responded to her co-star’s statements, in May 2019 she already gave her own version of these scenes.

In a video on his YouTube channel, he said that, at first, “I was very afraid of hitting Jane Fonda in the face or hurting her in any way.”

However, the Hollywood veteran encouraged her to do the scenes:

“(He told me) ‘Hit me, don’t worry, it’s going to be fine. (…) Just do it,'” he recalls.

Thus, the two began their forays into fiction.

On this occasion, the actress from “Wedding Expert” (a movie you can watch for free on ViX) also revealed that she hurt Jane Fonda:

“At the end, Jane had a blood blister on the top of her eye. My nail went up there.”

But in his account, his reaction was different from what Fonda said:

“I was sad. I immediately said “I’m so sorry” and she said “Okay, okay.” It was a purple blister sticking out (of her eye) and she didn’t care. They are quite gangster. I love her”.
