The John Wick 4 team has set up their cameras in several parts of the world, including Paris, and offers some dance action scenes, especially in Montmartre.
With the release of the film on March 22nd, we invite you to test your knowledge of American films set in Paris! Take the challenge!
Scenes with Bower’s King were shot in a Paris basement, the Canal Saint-Martin, the Porte des Lilas metro station, and an air raid shelter not seen in the movie.
The production had to install a special ventilation system and hire 80 cleaning workers for two weeks to ensure that the working environment, located in the basement of the most modern areas of the capital, was completely protected.
As it was not possible to close the famous square in Paris to traffic for several weeks, the production was filmed at the decommissioned airport in Tegel, Berlin.
“We did all the work on the strip on the asphalt and filmed the shooting like a judo move in several lines. We tried gun-fu in the previous chapters and now we put it into practice on the car. Phew”Keanu Reeves recalls.
In the sequence of Montmartre, John Wick continues his journey to Paris before his fatal duel with the Marquis. While walking up a very long staircase, he has to face many enemies. Baba Yaga recovers several times to climb it as enemies force her down several steps, forcing her to get up to start climbing the stairs again.
Vic only has 13 minutes to break through this terrifyingly efficient, seemingly impenetrable wall of assassins.
“We filmed one of the most impressive staircases in the world, when John descends 300 steps. Second. It was a great place to orchestrate the stunts.”– says coordinator Stephen Dunlev.
