Exclusive Premiere at KION thriller “Remember” by Lee Il-hyun, which retains the best of the already classic revenge films of the 2000s. The tape is a remake of the film of the same name by Atom Egoyan with Christopher Plummer. The film stars Lee Sung-min, Nam Joo-hyuk, and Jung Man-shik in the lead roles.
According to the plot of the tape, 80-year-old Han Pil-ju, after the funeral of his wife, decides to implement a long-standing idea. Many years ago, his entire family fell victim to the Japanese occupation of Korea: his father died, his brother died in poverty, his mother went crazy, and his sister committed suicide. Pil-ju knows the names of the perpetrators of the family tragedy, now they hold high positions in public and private companies, lecture on the history of the country and receive military awards.
The old man would be happy to take revenge alone, only he suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, so he needs a young assistant. It becomes a work colleague Pak In-gu, who got into wild debts for the sake of treating his sick father and paying for his studies. Pil-jin has saved up a large amount, so he promises to give In-gu the entire inheritance for a small favor – you just need to be a driver …
The thriller “Remember” is already available to subscribers of the KION online cinema.
