Zachary Levi took the opportunity to send a message to those who didn’t like Shazam! Gods Fury
With box office failure of Shazam! Gods Fury (2023), Zachary Leviinterpreter of the film’s protagonist, opined how the criticism of the hero’s second film makes no sense.
In a video published on Instagram, the actor defended the sequence of shazam, released on April 4, 2019 in Brazilian theaters. “It’s a throwback to all the movies we knew and loved growing up in the ’80s and ’90s,” said Levi. “You will like it a lot.”
It’s disappointing that we’re not doing as well as I think we deserve to be, because I think we made a great movie. But shit happens.
“It’s a fantastic, fun movie for the whole family. Just like the first one, it has the heart, the humour, the charm, the adventure, the terror,” continued the actor. “I don’t know how you can go to a movie like this and not feel the joy or fun that some people have said. I don’t know how that’s possible.”
Is it a perfect movie? No. But I have a hard time thinking of perfect movies. But we are a much better movie than some of these critics have given us credit for. For those of you who haven’t seen the movie yet, it will blow your mind.
Furthermore, Zachary Levi also took the opportunity to address people who did not like Shazam! Gods Fury: “Again, all you haters are going to say ‘your movie sucks,’ but it doesn’t. It legitimately doesn’t. If any of you saw the movie, you’d recognize it’s not shit. It’s a really fun movie.”
We’re not the first film this has happened to. I think it would be a great opportunity to show the world that this is not the best way to rate movies.
