A film about corruption in politics
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, a feature film, like the director’s previous works, will be a scathing critique of society and more specifically the rampant corruption in the political world.
Adam McKay has already mentioned the idea of making a film about dirty money while promoting Don’t Look Up, which highlights global warming and the skepticism whistleblowers regularly face.
Average Height, Average Build marks the filmmaker’s reunion with Amy Adams, who he previously directed in the political satire Vice in 2018. He is collaborating for the first time with Robert Pattinson, Robert Downey Jr., Forest Whitaker and Daniel Deadweiler.
Filming is set to begin in late summer in Boston.
