Machine operator Milton César Magalhães, 44, indicted for having run over and killed a 41-year-old colleague with a backhoe loader, surrendered to the police this Monday afternoon, 27, in São Carlos (SP), the municipality where the crime. The suspect, who has been on the run since Wednesday 22, the date of the incident, handed himself over to the carabinieri accompanied by two lawyers and was heard by the delegate of the Investigations General Headquarters (DIG), Caio Gobato.

“The evidence will appear in the course of the investigation and procedural instructions. Milton had indeed undergone various threats, pressures and ended up getting to that point. He is aware of everything,” said the operator’s defense.

The case took place on Georg Ptak Street in the Vila Lutfalla neighborhood. The military police were called, through Copom, to respond to the incident. It was revealed at the scene that the victim and the perpetrator worked at the same company and had had a misunderstanding.
According to the Civil Police, the perpetrator was driving a tractor and purposely hit the victim, who was driving a motorcycle. With the victim on the ground, the man hit the boy again and fled. The triad was identified and seized.
Both were employees of the Autonomous Service of Water and Sewage (Saae) of São Carlos. The victim has been identified as Iebel Garcia Silva.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called after the accident. The victim’s death was found at the scene.
