Welcome Aboard is the second collaboration between Frank DuBosky and director Eric Laven after 2008’s Incognito. With this maritime comedy, the latter signs his fourth feature film and is surrounded by a famous actor: Frank Dubosky, respectively, as well as Valérie Lemercier. Gerard Darmon, Lionel Astier, Philippe Lelouch and Louise Raniere.

Here, you’ll find that the story takes place on a luxury cruise ship and follows the adventures of Isabelle, an HRD at a major shipping company who has an affair… with her boss!

But as the fleet’s first cruise flagship is fast approaching, the latter leaves it behind. Isabelle’s revenge will be terrible and her name is… Remy!

It actually gets hosted by the famous Remy, a failed and unemployed professional. Becoming CEO Remy’s real nightmare, he gradually finds his way through a job he never expected…

Some love it, some don’t: Welcome Aboard is a comedy that isn’t unanimous. With its light script, second-rate humor and repeated misunderstandings, the film is, whether you like it or not, a good family entertainment or revelation.

However, the cast has a great time with Frank Dubosk, who was a little less “himself” than usual. So cruising is fun… up to a point!

The journey to the middle of the ocean did not convince either the press or the audience of AlloCiné: the premiere is final and the film has 1.7 points out of 5. 2.5 out of 5 viewers are not missing. There is a reason. on the grimace.

However, one can also find rave reviews, a story to die for laughs, and effective acting. Welcome on board is ultimately one of those controversial works that everyone can judge based on their own tastes and preferences.

One thing’s for sure: if it’s not comedy of the year, it made Frank Dubosky fans happy and still smiled in the most reluctant ways, and it’s already a winner!
