The Rookie: The Los Angeles Police Officer Will Have the Right to Spin Off! ABC has just announced The Rookie: Feds Full Season Order, a spin-off series featuring the rear-door pilot in two episodes of Season 4.
Carries Nice Nash, an actress who appears in the films Scream Queens, In Their Eyes and My First Times, The Rookie: Feds follows Simone Clark, the FBI Academy’s oldest rookie, who has set aside her dreams to offer her two children their own dreams.
In the introductory double episode, Agent John Nolan (Nathan Fillon) and the FBI’s Los Angeles branch ask FBI intern Simon Clark for help when one of his former students is suspected of terrorism after an explosion at a local power plant.
The order for The Rookie: Feds, created by Alex Hale, already in The Rookie origins and produced by Nathan Fillon and Nice Nash, is really not surprising given the very good audience achieved by the double pilot episode.
Especially since The Rookie, which will return to the ABC for its fifth season next September, remains one of the undisputed values of the American Channel, as fiction is one of the most watched drama series on Gray’s Anatomy, Station 19, and The Good Doctor.
It remains to be seen whether this spin-off will one day come to France. If a novice across the Atlantic has achieved great success, it seems difficult to convince a French viewer. M6, which offers the series in France, last month accelerated its 3rd season broadcast, airing the last 6 episodes in one evening. To be continued…
