Oriol Paulo has a new project on Netflix: a miniseries with Javier Rey and Ana Polvorosa

Netflix has announced the pre-production of the new project de Oriol Paulo, which will be based on the best-seller by Mikel Santiago ‘Last night in Tremore Beach’. This new miniseries will star javier king (‘Hache’, ‘Secret Origins’) and Ana Polvorosa (‘The girls of the cable’, ‘A man of action’).

The director has commented about this project: “I am very happy to repeat with Netflix after the great experience of ‘The Innocent’, creating a new series based on this magnetic novel by Mikel Santiago and accompanied by an exceptional cast. I am looking forward to sharing this exciting story with the public.”

The filmmaker is known for being behind films like ‘Setback’, ‘During the storm’which was a complete success when it reached the platform, and last year another story based on one of the most famous books of our literature, ‘Los renglones torcidos de Dios’, was released in theaters, one of the best Spanish films released in 2022 with which she got six Goya Award nominations, including Best Actress for her leading lady, Bárbara Lennie.

‘El inocento’, his latest work on television starring Mario Casas, was a phenomenon on the Red N platform, given its labyrinthine gameplay and mysteries to be discovered in each episode.

This new project will begin shooting soon in Spain and will be produced by Sandra Hermida, Jesús de la Vega, Belén Atienza from Sospecha Films and Eneko Lizarraga from Think Studio.

We will soon see Javier Rey in other television productions such as ‘Doctor García’s patients’ or in the film ‘The sleeping woman’one of the Spanish films of this 2023, as well as titles such as ‘A not so simple life’ or ‘Anyone has a bad day’, which are the films in which we will see his co-star this year in this new plot, Ana Polvorosa.

The original book on which the miniseries is based tells the story of a composer who has lost his inspiration and who, after a traumatic divorce, takes refuge in an isolated house on an Irish beach to regain his inspiration. Everything seems perfect, but one stormy night can change everything.

Sospecha Films was born from the union of three producers with great experience in the film and audiovisual world both in Spain and abroad: Beleń Atienza, Sandra Hermida and Jesús de la Vega. For this new project by Oriol Paulo, Sospecha Films once again joins forces with Eneko Lizarraga from Think Studio. This will be the second collaboration between the two producers after the miniseries ‘El Inocente’.
