Fans have been eagerly waiting for this… Fast X trailer is finally out! Directed by Frenchman Louis Leterrier, the final part of the saga that began in 2001 will be explosive! In the program: car racing (the real comeback, as promised by Vin Diesel), explosive balls, car chases and crazy stunts.

The 3.42-minute promotional video tells us more about the feature film’s pitch. Note that long trailers are a trademark of the saga. Part 9 lasted 3.55 minutes.

Fast X will therefore be directly related to Justin Lin’s Fast & Furious 5 (2011). In the trailer we also see a scene from the fifth opus.

A scene in which Brian (Paul Walker) and Dom (Vin Diesel) rob a safe belonging to the crooked businessman Hernan Reyes (played by Joaquim de Almeida) and drag it behind their car was filmed. is identical.

The filmmaker explains:We recreated the chase from Fast & Furious 5, but from the perspective of the villains. To them, Brian and Dom are thieves. Jason Momoa as the big bad guy

In the tenth episode, Dom and his family will have to face Dante, played by Jason Momoa. The latter is the son of Hernan Reyes. Thirsty for revenge, he is determined to destroy his family and destroy everything Dom has ever cared about, and especially whom.

In Fast 5, Dom, Brian and their team take down Brazilian drug lord Hernán Reyes, throwing his empire off a bridge in Rio de Janeiro. Little did they know that his son had watched helplessly as he spent the last twelve years hatching an infernal plan that would exact the ultimate price from Dom.

Dante follows Dom and his family across the four corners of the globe, from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London, and from Antarctica to Portugal. New alliances will be formed and old enemies will reappear. But everything changes when Dom realizes that Dante’s main target is none other than his own son (Leo Abello Perry).

Therefore, Dante is the new villain of the saga. We also hear him say in the trailer:That’s the problem when you have such a big family, you have to choose who you love.” So Dom will have to make a choice…

And this is what Louis Leterrier confirms, for he states: “War is brewing. There will be many losses and alliances will be formed. Good boys become bad boys, bad boys become good boys.”

A recurring fact in the saga since Jason Statham, the villain of Fast & Furious 7, finally switched to the side of the good guys and saved Dom’s son from the hands of the Cipher for the first time (in episode 8).

The latter, still played by Charlize Theron, is also back. So Dom and his family have to face 2 villains. The director explains on this topic that “one is worse than the other”.

Brie Larson: A mysterious character

We also see Brie Larson take her first steps into the Fast & Furious universe as Momoa. If his character remains ambiguous, Louis Leterrier tells us: “Brie Larson portrays Tess. Her character comes in at a time when Dom is a bit lost and she goes out of her way to help him. He’s part of the franchise, but indirectly… he’s very mysterious.”

Return of Jason Statham

Absent in episode 9, Deckard Shaw’s interpreter is back! The latter also finds Louis Leterrier, who directed him in the saga Le Transporteur. On this topic, the filmmaker gives us a small anecdote that connects his first work Fast & Furious.

“I got a call that I had been chosen to direct Fast X and 4 days later I was in London on set. But at first I was afraid of the magnitude. It’s a beloved franchise that has defined my career.

When I released the Transporter with Jason Statham, we went to see one of the Fast & Furious movies at a cinema on the Champs Elysees. We told ourselves that this was incredible and that we had to do something similar. And years later, we’re working together again on Fast X.

He adds: “It’s incredible. It’s a founding saga. It’s been 20 years since the audience grew up with the characters. So it’s scary… But with my wife’s push, I agreed. Everyone was treated like a family member and then for the second time it was my film. I was very I was well surrounded.”

As Vin Diesel promised his fans, all the stars of the franchise come together for the grand finale.

Accustomed to directing big productions, as we owe him, in particular, “Transporter 1 & 2”, “Incredible Hulk or Elusive”, Louis Leterrier explains that he understands the weight that weighs on the actors and takes into account their opinion.

“These people cannot walk peacefully on the street. But at the same time, they love work, it’s their whole life. I love listening to these actors and their ideas. Especially on this series.

The original cast has been working on these films for over 20 years. Therefore, I will take into account their advice. Vin Diesel is different because he is a producer. We both hit it off very well right away. We talked a lot about turning scenes… We still talk to each other very often.”

“I’ve never seen two actors fight like that.”

He adds: “One of the scenes that impressed me the most, and which we see briefly in the trailer, is the fight Charlize Theron and Michelle Rodriguez.

I have never seen two actors fighting like this. It’s very technical. Everyone is a perfectionist and we redid the scene several times. They are very professional. It is very impressive.”

When asked if he will direct the 11th and final episode, Louis Leterrier remains undecided: “We started thinking about what would happen. But I have so much work on this movie that I haven’t even talked to Universal about it, so we’ll see..”
