On November 30, 2013, Paul Walker died in a car accident, but his friend Vin Diesel refused to kill him on screen. At the end of Fast & Furious 7, we see Brian’s character (voiced by his brother) on a different path.
Brian’s name is mentioned in every movie since then, he’s the one who takes care of the kids while his wife Mia (Jordana Brewster) goes off to fight with her brother.
But Paul Walker is back in Fast & Furious 10 as shown in the trailer. The film is indeed directly related to Fast 5, in which Dom and Brian rob the crooked businessman Hernán Reyes (played by Joaquim de Almeida).
During our meeting with the director, Louis Leterrier told us that he did not create the actor digitally, but used archival footage. “As for Paul Walker, we used images that weren’t used at the time, we didn’t create it digitally.“
In a recent interview with the magazine All moviesVin Diesel has hinted that the franchise plans to say goodbye to Brian O’Connor’s character in Fast & Furious X .
Paul Walker in Fast & Furious 7
“I couldn’t imagine this saga ending without really saying goodbye to Brian”
The actor and producer of Motorized Saga says:In 2013, as the world grappled with his loss, the studio made the bold, fair and courageous decision to keep Brian O’Connor. I’ll tell you without spoiling anything: I couldn’t imagine this saga ending without saying goodbye to Brian.”
He adds: “I spent a lot of time reading and listening to what true Saga fans wanted. And I got an idea of how the saga should end: with dignity and integrity. All of this has led us to this moment.”
Vin Diesel hasn’t offered any further details on how he’ll say goodbye to the franchise for Brian O’Connor, but his statements suggest it will be a fitting tribute to the character and… the actor. Will Brian’s character die in this movie? Reply on May 17…
