After the crime he fled, suffered a car accident and was found in a city 160 kilometers away
A military police officer has been arrested after killing a man in a bar during a conversation. The crime took place in the municipality of Barro (CE), on the night of Thursday 30.
Footage from the bar’s security cameras, which recorded the crime, shows the policeman, Hilquias Coelho Ferreirasitting at the same table as the victim, identified as Carlos Anderson da Silva Mariano, 33 years. The two were talking.
At one point, however, Hilquias gets up from the table and goes towards the car parked behind the victim. It doesn’t seem to have changed at the time. So, he takes a gun inside the vehicle and shoots the boy in the back of the head, who died at the scene.
After the crime, the military officer fled in the vehicle. He was in a car accident in the city of Icó, 95 kilometers from the place where he committed the murder.
According to the Civil Police, after the accident, he abandoned his vehicle and asked for a lift to the city of Jaguaribe, where he was located and arrested by the police.
It is not yet known what motivated the crime. The policeman remains in custody at the disposal of Justice.
