With ‘John Wick 4’ in movie theaters, we review on which platforms you can catch up with the previous films in the saga.
The ‘John Wick’ saga continues to grow at a dizzying pace, from the recent theatrical release of the explosive ‘John Wick 4’ to the next expansions of the universe with the film ‘Ballerina’ with Ana de Armas and the series ‘The Continental’ on Amazon Prime Video. And that’s why we want to review where to see the first ‘John Wick’ movies so you can catch up as soon as possible with one of the most beloved sagas of the momentstarring the incombustible Keanu Reeves.
Led by the director and stuntman Chad Stahelski, this action franchise began in 2014 with a film from which not much was expected, and which ended up becoming a success. Reeves plays a deadly retired assassin grieving the recent death of his wife and trying to look hopefully into the future with a small puppy she gave him before her imminent death. However, some gangsters break into his house to steal his car and, in the process, kill the dog. What these criminals did not know is that they were waking up a beast they could not escape: known as Baba Yaga (the Bogeyman), the famous John Wick once again takes up arms to carry out the bloodiest revenge ever seen.
While we wait for more details of ‘John Wick 5’ to be confirmed and we date those new prequels and spin offs several on the horizon, time to review where to see the first ‘John Wick’ movies, one of the most successful and violent action sagas of the moment.
Where to see ‘John Wick’ (2014)
As we pointed out, the first film in the saga, titled in Spain as ‘John Wick: Another Day to Kill’, rang the bell and served as the gateway to a very long history. His charms were his mind-blowing fight choreography and creating a world with its own rules and mythology. And Keanu Reeves, of course, who plays a murderer as lethal as he is close.
‘John Wick’ is available at HBO Max and Movistar+.
Where to watch ‘John Wick 2: Blood Pact’

The first surprised, but it was the second when the saga began to be seen among the public and critics, and to succeed at the box office: ‘John Wick: Blood Pact’ is an amazing film. In it we meet John Wick, who is now living the consequences of having returned to the murderous world he once managed to get out of, and the Italian mafia knocks on his door with a Paco de Sangre that he must honor.
‘John Wick 2: Blood Paco’ is available at Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and HBO Max.
Where to watch ‘John Wick 3: Parabellum’

“Si vis pacem, para bellum” means “If you want peace, prepare for war”, and John Wick moves under that maxim again in this third installment. Having broken the rules of the world of assassins, John Wick is excommunicated and a heavy price is placed on his head, making him the juiciest target in the world.
‘John Wick 3: Parabellum’ is available on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max and Movistar+.
Where to watch ‘John Wick 4’

The fourth installment of the ‘John Wick’ saga is counted among the best action films of 2023 and continues with the good work of its predecessors, although with even more action, more characters, more settings, more footage, more blood. This is the franchise that never stops growing, though as we see at the end of ‘John Wick 4’, we’ll have to wait and see if that growth continues to count on Keanu Reeves or move in other directions. And beware, ‘John Wick 4’ does have a post-credit scene and leaves us a clue for the future of the franchise.
‘John Wick 4’ is available in cinemas since last March 24.
