A survey released on Tuesday 4 underlines that 23% of Brazilians say they don’t have enough food at home
The Datafol survey released this Tuesday 4, points out that 23% of Brazilians say they do not have enough food at home. The lack of food occurs more among women, residents of the northeastern region, Lula voters and beneficiaries of Bolsa Família.
The research was published in the journal Folha de São Paulo and heard by 2,028 people aged 16 and over between March 29 and 30, in 126 cities. The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points.
According to research:
• 62% they say the food is Enough;
• 23% they say the food at home is not enough;
• 15% they say the food is more than enough.
This lack of food at home, according to the survey, occurs more among:
• women (27%);
• residents of the region North East (30%);
• Lula voters (27%);
• beneficiaries of Bolsa Familia (23%).
Optimism in the Lula government
The poll also asked respondents about their optimism about the future of the economy under Lula’s rule. Among the beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família program, optimism is greater.
• 32% of Bolsa Família beneficiaries stated that the country’s economic situation improvedBefore 20% of respondents who do not perceive the benefit;
• 60% of Bolsa Família beneficiaries said they believed it the economy will improve during the Lula government, before 41% of respondents who do not perceive the benefit;
