The new service starts running this Tuesday
Starting this Tuesday (4), Ligue 180, a telephone service that leads and forwards complaints about violence against women, will be available via a WhatsApp channel.
The service will be performed by the virtual assistant, called Pagu. Initially, you will be offered several options for help, but you can call a central assistant at any time. The central team has been made up of only women since March.
According to the Ministry of Women, assistance on violence against women was managed by the National Human Rights Ombudsman, through Dial 100. Now, with the separation of services, the ministry will be able to collect data on violence against women women through WhatsApp, for use in formulating public policy.
To launch the service, the Minister of Women, Cida Gonçalves, will visit the Call Center this Tuesday, together with First Lady Janja Lula da Silva and the Minister of Human Rights and Citizenship, Silvio Almeida.
