Kaamelott – Part 2 hit theaters yesterday, but did you stay until the end? Because there is a short picture at the end of the credits! A picture that opens many doors for the second part, which will be released on November 11, 2026. Yes, we’ll have to wait…
Arthur underwater
This very brief final image shows Arthur swimming underwater and in the background, the wreckage of the ship – so presumably the one he boarded with his Queen Guinevere (whom he finally acknowledges as his most precious) and the gangster Venek at the end of the film.
Therefore, this ship is shipwrecked, and Arthur, underwater (as Alexandre Astier attempted a few months before the film’s release), shows an expression of surprise that is almost tinged with fear! what did you see sea monster? Is Guinevere going to drown? Perceval or the Lady of the Lake, as if by magic?
Some theories
In the case of Perceval, his translator Frank Pitio recently confirmed that he was not in the film, implying that he is not a two-parter. Therefore, this theory should be ruled out a priori. The Lady of the Lake is teleported midway through the film – presumably back to her original plane shown in the series, from which she was banished after Arthur’s betrayal.
If Arthur went to the Mediterranean, he may also have found Caradoc and the tavern keeper, who had just arrived in Sicily, for the Knight of Van had a recurring dream of the boat splitting after this second part. The dream in the image is accompanied by an ethereal song called “Dream Under Water” on the official soundtrack.
Maybe it has something to do with Arthur’s shipwreck? Perhaps this underwater scene is also just Arthur’s dream, as we are shown that the king spends most of his time on the ship sleeping.
On your theories! And of course, we will have to wait more than a year, because in a pleasant surprise, Kaamelott – Second Part will be released on November 11, 2026.
