Warner Bros. this Tuesday (4) released the second official trailer for “Barbie,” an upcoming romantic comedy based on Mattel’s Barbie toy line, the world’s most popular doll!
Slated for release on July 20 this year, the live-action film has a heavy cast: Margot Robbie will give life to the original Barbie, Ryan Gosling will be Ken, her famous romantic partner, and Dua Lipa will make the Barbie Mermaid version of doll.
Just earlier this Tuesday, Warner released the official movie posters, which landed the name Barbie in Twitter trends – considering that the production is one of the most anticipated of the year, it couldn’t be otherwise.
In addition to the singer of Don’t Start Now (song that exploded in Brazil after Big Brother Brasil 20), Emma Mickey, Sharon Rooney and Nicola Coughlan will also interpret other “versions” of the Barbie doll. Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans, Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa will bring other facets of Ken to life.
Announced in 2021 already with Robbie’s name as the protagonist, the film had its first trailer released in December 2022. The actress is mainly known for her role as Harley Quinn in the franchise “Suicide Squad”, but she has also participated in other important productions such as “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “Guardians of the Galaxy 3”.
