For the highly anticipated movie ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ it is known that several versions of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker will appear and also fans are looking forward to see Lady Gaga’s performance as Harley Quinn.
Ever since the singer was announced to take on the role and the first photos of her as the Joker’s girlfriend were leaked, many fans have compared Lady Gaga to Margot Robbie’s portrayal.
But unlike the Robbie movies, in “Joker 2” the love and madness relationship between Arthur Fleck and Dr. Harleen Quinzel will be a fundamental part of the story and they will share moments in an iconic part from the first film.

In the latest leak from the New York recording set of ‘Joker 2’, people and photographers were able to capture the lead actors filming a scene on the famous Bronx stairs.
In the 2019 film, this place was very important in the story, as it was a symbol of Arthur Fleck’s transformation from a pathetic and overworked man to the Clown Prince of Crime in Gotham.
Fleck had to climb the grand staircase every night tired and disillusioned, but when he adopts his Joker persona he dances down them during the day as well, symbolizing that madness and the meaning of his life have invaded.
Now, leaked photos show that the Joker will return to those memorable stairs for the sequel, but he won’t be doing it alone, as some images first show Harley in plainclothes climbing the stairs.
Later, already with a new look for the character of Harley Quinn from the comics and animated series, the couple could be seen dancing, smoking and singing together while on the virtual stairs.
Some cops arrive to arrest Arthur Fleck while Harley continues to laugh and be crazy as she witnesses her lover’s arrest. This may lead to the also leaked appearance of Harvey Dent in the “Joker” sequel.
Lady Gaga’s new look as Harley Quinn includes her black leggings and white and black top with a diamond pattern, although her hair is shorter and she also has a black (apparently male) jacket with red lining.
That the pair can be seen dancing and singing is in line with rumors that the sequel will be a dark and bloody musical, in the style of 2007’s ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’.
Director Todd Phillips’ film also stars Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, Harry Lawtey and Zazie Beetz, who returns from the first installment as Fleck’s neighbor Sophie.
“Joker: Folie a Deux” opens in theaters on Oct. 4, 2024, and is under DC’s Elseworlds label, so it will remain separate from the new universe created by James Gunn.
