Traumatized at will, the 9th film franchise of this mythic SF saga will feature a new cast!

After the commercial failure of Alien Covenant in 2017, Ridley Scott left the slimy xenomorphs to direct the Gucci and Napoleon biopic.

So, will the story of these terrible creatures have a movie sequel? If the fangs and fangs of this mythical movie monster traumatized you, you might get the shivers because no one can hear your screams in the movies!

The Xenomorphs will return to the big screen, without Ridley Scott, but under the control of Fede Alvarez. The new film, currently in production, will not be a sequel to the agreement, but will return to the origins of the saga, in the manner of Predator, which revived the tone of its famous predecessor, Predator.

Therefore, the director of the remake of Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe took the reins of the franchise and prepared Alien Romulus. The director and his team set up cameras in Hungary with young actors, clearing the license that expired with Prometheus and Covenant.

The story of Romulus is supposed to follow a group of young people living on a distant planet. The army finds itself facing the most terrifying form of life in space, the Xenomorph!

This new chapter in the Alien franchise is produced by 20th Century Studios. The 9th full-length film in the saga, which will feature young talents: Kailey Spahn, David Johnson, Archie Reno, Isabella Merced, Spike Fearne and Eileen Wu. Producer Ridley Scott will lead the project.

Note that a series focused on the Alien license is also in the works with Noah Hawley (Legion) in the works. These two projects will not be related to the iconic character of Ellen Ripley, the heroine of the first 4 works of the franchise. In total, the 8 feature films of the Alien saga have brought in approximately $1.5 billion worldwide.
