Libertadores: Cano praises Fluminense’s offensive power after victory: “We created many opportunities”

Scorer of two goals in Fluminense’s win against Sporting Cristal on Wednesday’s Libertadores debut, striker Germán Cano celebrated the result. The number 14 cited missed chances but stressed that his team deserved the triumph.

– We had a great match and created many goal chances. We didn’t convert some chances, but we played a good game. We played with confidence and won fairly – said the athlete leaving the field.

The tricolor top scorer praised his teammates, who managed to neutralize the Peruvians, in the attacker’s sights. Cano, however, said the team needs to make some changes.

– We created a lot of chances in the first half and they didn’t get much, just the goal. We need to fix the counterattack, but overall the team did well.

Fluminense returns to the field for the Libertadores on the 18th, against The Strongest, at the Maracanã. Next Sunday, the Tricolor will face Flamengo in the second match of the final of the Carioca Championship.
