It’s Star Wars Celebration Week, folks! The annual Jabba-and-Jawas jamboree is coming to London this year, and it’s all the excuse Connor Ratliff, Griffin Newman and Patrick Cotnoir needed to drive their hit, George Lucas’ talk show, at the Soho Theater for select performances on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 April. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s a fake impromptu chat show in which Ratliff plays retired director George Lucas (yes, This George Lucas) and Newman plays his partner Watto (yes, This Watto), interviewing royal guests on Star Wars and other animals.
Our own Chris Hewitt is a huge fan and took the opportunity to chat with the trio about the origins of the show, how it has transformed during the pandemic and what they have in store for London audiences. Enjoy.
