Slated for August on Disney+, the Star Wars Ahsoka series promises to please fans of the franchise, especially those who watch the animated series. This is’AhsokaThe show, which centers on the character of Ahsoka Tano, is featured in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the animated series of the same name.

Disney and Lucasfilm released the first trailer during Star Wars Celebration, and it features other famous fan characters.

In addition to the former Jedi Knight, played by Rosario Dawson, Disney+ subscribers will have the opportunity to see live-action versions of Ezra Bridger, the camp Eman Esfand, the Mandalorian Sabine Wren, played by Natasha Liu Bordiso, and the Twi’lek. But if there’s one iconic antagonist fans have been waiting for, it’s Grand Admiral Thrawn, seen from behind in the series’ first trailer. And just in time to celebrate Star Wars, at a panel dedicated to the series, Disney and Lucasfilm officially unveiled Officer Chase’s interpreter, who returns to threaten the New Republic’s return to the Empire.

This is Lars Mikkelsen, known for his roles in The Killing, Sherlock and House of Cards.

This choice makes sense and should please fans, as it was he who voiced the character of Admiral Thrawn in the animated series Star Wars: Rebels. Fans were treated to a longer version of Ahsoka’s trailer, revealing the voice actress playing the admiral.

Actor Mads Mikkelsen’s older brother caused a stir during the Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration, apparently saying he was excited to reprise the role in the Mandalore spin-off, produced by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau.

The Ahsoka series will be available in August 2023 on Disney+.
