This Saturday the Mega Millions jackpot has piled up and reaches a billionaire value
In the early hours of this Saturday, the 8th Brasilia time, the Mega Millions piled up once again and now the prize has reached $441 million, the equivalent of R$2.2 billion.
The numbers drawn in this contest were 12, 32, 49, 51, 66 and the Golden Mega Ball 21. Since no one got the six dozen right, the prizes rolled over.
Unlike Brazilian lotteries, in Mega Millions the winner has the choice of two ways of receiving the amount: all at once (but the amount is reasonably smaller) or in annual installments over 29 years. Most people prefer to receive less, but all at once.
Mega Millions is an American lottery, but it can be played by anyone living in Brazil through platforms like The Lotter. The next draw will be on January 13th.
