The hilarious video clip of Jack Black and his ballad to Princess Peaches in ‘Super Mario Bros: The Movie’

Jack Black has reminded us of the best moments of ‘Tenacious D: giving the note’ and of ‘Escuela de Rock’ (the original version, not the one dubbed by Dani Martín) in the most unpredictable way: Singing a ballad about princess peaches in the new adaptation of ‘Super Mario Bros’, the film that is breaking records.

‘Peaches’, the music video clip that the actor and singer has released to promote the film’s ballad, introduces us to Black dressed as the villain Bowser while proclaiming his love for Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy). But the best thing is that you see it directly:

How could it be less? Jack Black gives it his all as the villain Bowser in a song he himself helped develop for the film. The co-director of ‘Super Mario Bros’, aaron horvathhas revealed that “While we were trying to capture Bowser’s feelings for Peach, we found it more fun, funny and sweet if we asked him to sing a song about it. Jack Black is an amazing singer and musician, so we spent a night writing the song and sent Jack the demo. A couple of days later, Jack sent us a finished track. He had added his own touch and his pianist added an original music track. we were blown away.”

“Peach, understand, I will love you to the end. At the end of the road, I will make you mine.” And she adds: “Not Mario, not Luigi, not Donkey Kong. Not a thousand Koopas troops could keep me from you“. Pure romanticism.

‘Peaches’ could perfectly be the successor to the song from the film ‘RRR’ Naatu, Naatu, winner of the 2023 Oscar for Best Song. What’s more, from now on we began to campaign for it to be so.

‘Super Mario Bros: The Movie’, released on April 5 in theaters, tells us the story of two Brooklyn plumbers, Mario (Chris Pratt) and his brother Luigi (Charlie Day)who are transported by a pipe to a new magical world: the mushroom kingdom. Jack Black plays a creature, Bowser, who seeks to seize power in this new universe by overriding its ruler, Princess Peaches.
