‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ is coming for its final season

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” is coming to an end. During this year’s Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm announced that the animated series has been renewed for its third and final season, which will hit Disney+ in 2024.

The Clone Wars spin-off follows a group of experimental clone troopers, collectively known as Clone Force 99, who go on the run after resisting the command of Order 66 who brainwashed their colleagues into seeing the Jedi as traitors.

The show’s second season wrapped up last month, and Star Wars Celebration fans got a sneak peek at what’s to come with the teaser trailer.

The teaser, which Lucasfilm has yet to release online, opens with Emperor Palpatine, voiced once again by Ian McDiarmid, and teases the appearance of Dr. Royce Hemlock and The Mandalorian bounty hunter Fennec Shand.

There are also “glimpses of various worlds and characters, including Republic commandos, clones, Rex” and “many giant creatures,” according to Lucasfilm.

The exact release date of the final season of ‘The Bad Batch’ remains to be seen, but with ‘Star Wars: Visions Volume 2’ debuting in May and ‘Star Wars: Ahsoka’ debuting in August, having plenty of room for franchise content for the next few months.
