To my left, Steven Spielberg, thirty-five feature films. The man to whom we owe the first blockbuster in cinema history (Jaws, 1975). The man who gave the public the most outstanding adventurer of the 80s with four Indiana Jones films (1981, 1984, 1989 and 2008).
The man who revived several species of dinosaurs that went extinct millions of years ago brought them back to life on the big screen using then-revolutionary special effects in 1993’s Jurassic Park.
The one who dared to bet on the adaptation of one of the most famous heroes of French-language comics in the world (Tintin Adventures: The Secret of the Unicorn, 2011), and who also dared to attack some. The darkest pages of our civilization through many historical films (Schindler’s List 1993, Saving Private Ryan 1998, Munich 2005…).
To my right, James Cameron, nine years her junior, with “only” nine feature films to her credit. The filmmaker who revolutionized fantasy cinema by returning to ’80s Los Angeles with a low-budget film mocking the killer cyborg of the future (Terminator, 1984). The one who also dug up the wreckage of the Titanic from the depths of the ocean in 1997 to offer the public one of the greatest Hollywood classics of recent decades.
But also the director, who, thanks to his numerous artistic talents, sense of detail and legendary workforce, succeeds in creating a world from scratch, the ship of the planet Pandora and its inhabitants, promised a bright future. (Avatar 2009, Avatar: The Waterway 2022).
Two extraordinary directors and a quiz where you just have to choose which of these two filmmakers created the pictures we offer. Depends on you !
