As post-credits scenes have gained more popularity in theaters, especially in Marvel movies, many people doubt whether it’s worth staying in the theater until the end of the screening. Those without much patience can end up frustrated waiting in vain. Therefore, we decided to clarify: does Super Mario have a post-credit scene? YES. And not just one, but two.

The first scene after the credits
Shortly after the opening credits sequence, we return to the Mushroom Kingdom and once again see Bowser at the piano singing a love song to Peach again. Incidentally, Illumination, the studio responsible for the film, has released a music video with the song in full. Check it out below.
The villain appears in a Neighbor, with his usual grandeur, until he was interrupted by a toad from the kingdom’s guard. At that moment the scene is completely revealed and we realize that he is inside a cage and follows him in miniature. After all, he ingested a shrunken mushroom.
Second scene: continuation in sight
The second and final Super Mario post-credits scene is very short and has no dialogue. The snippet, shown after the credits, shows what appears to be the sewers of Brooklyn, New York. There, in the same place where Mario and Luigi were transported to the Mushroom Kingdom, you can see a familiar egg with green spots. This is the egg of the dinosaur Yoshi.
Although the dinosaur does not appear in the film, only its egg, there is a quick scene, about halfway through the screening, where more of its kind are seen. Given the success of Super Mario, a continuation seems certain. So soon we should see the plumber on his famous mount.
