Danny Boone is set to make his 8th feature film as a director and screenwriter. From May 16, he will give the first clapperboard for La vie pour de vrai.
For this occasion, he finds his faithful accomplice, Cad Merad (Supercondriaque, Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis). The cast also includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, whom Danny Boone previously worked with for Ivan Attali’s sketch film They Are Everywhere.

As usual, Danny Boone will also star in the film. This new comedy will be set against the backdrop of Club Med, at least for its starting point.
The pitch goes like this: Tridan Lagache (Danny Boone), was born and has lived all his life in Mexico at Club Med. At the age of 50, he decides for the first time to leave his living environment to find Violet (Charlotte Gainsbourg), his childhood sweetheart, and truly discover life.
In Paris, she is far from imagining the obstacles and dangers that await her in her quest for truth and happiness, including an unexpected encounter with Louis (Cad Meradi), her older half-brother whom she never knew and who will do nothing. to remove it.
Filming will take place in Italy, Belgium and France. Life for Real is produced by Pathé, 26 DB Productions and Artemis Productions. Estimated release in spring 2023.
As a reminder, Danny Boone’s latest film, 8 rue de l’Humanité, was released directly on Netflix in October 2021. His last feature film in theaters was La Ch’tite famille, which was released in February 2018.
Danny Boone and Charlotte Gainsbourg have already given the answer in Ivan Atal’s book They Are Everywhere. We met them as a duo:
