ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF A CAREER
My interest in medicine started early, at the age of 12. In my home country, Colombia, I would often sneak into the family library and spend hours studying the books of my father and grandfather. Years later I moved to the USA, from there to Spain, where I studied medicine with a dermatological specialization at the University of Valencia. After receiving his diploma, he began working as a resident doctor at the University General Hospital, rose to the rank of chief consultant in the department of dermatology, where he worked for more than 10 years. Then he opened the dermatological clinic of Dr. Gabriel Serrano in Valencia.
ABOUT THE LAUNCH OF SESDERMA
I was able to learn about the needs of patients through my direct contact with them, as a result – I began to create unique products to solve any skin problem. That is why in 1989 I founded Sesderma Laboratories. One of our distinctive features is the use of nanotechnologies – we have been using them since 2009. Today, the Sesderma brand is present in more than 85 countries, but my dream is to make the product range accessible to everyone. We expect commercial success in newly opened country offices such as Central America and the UAE.

What matters is not what we have already created, but what we will create in the future. I always work on a lot of projects, for example, last year we launched a premium collection of Dr. Serrano. In the short term, I plan to strengthen the position of our new intimate care line and continue to organize courses in Valencia for the training of specialists in the field of gynecology, dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
