Berlusconi has ‘constant improvement’, says the medical report

The hospital manifested itself formally after 3 days

In the first medical report in the past three days, the San Raffaele hospital reported on Thursday (13) that Italian senator and former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, 86, is showing continued improvement in his treatment for pneumonia.

“In the last 72 hours there has been a constant improvement in respiratory and renal functions, with effective containment of leukocytosis and inflammatory syndrome. The complete clinical picture indicates the continuation of treatment in an intensive environment”, reads the document signed by the personal doctor and director of intensive care at the Milan hospital, Alberto Zangrillo, and by Dr. Fabio Ciceri.

It was the first time that the doctors spoke of a problem with Berlusconi’s kidneys. Until now, official information only pointed to respiratory and lung problems.

The leader of Força Italia has been hospitalized in intensive care since April 5 after feeling ill.

Shortly after his hospitalization, the second since March, Zangrillo revealed that the politician had been battling chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, a type of cancer that begins in bone marrow cells, “for some time”. .
