Messias underlines his pride in playing for Santos and celebrates his starting sequence: “Very gratifying”

Hired earlier this season, Messias attended Santos’ 111th birthday party this Friday. The defender underlined his pride in being able to participate in the event and be alongside the great idols of the club.

“It is an indescribable emotion to be at the birthday of this giant of world football. It means a lot to me, knowing that I play for Santos, being close to so many stars. Being close to them already gives me energy, experience. Two minutes of conversations with them they’re going to make me a lot bigger,” she said.

Messias is having a good streak among Odair Hellmann’s starters. There are already three games in the starting eleven. During this period, the team added three victories and did not concede a single goal.

“It’s very gratifying to have the opportunity to play in the starting lineup. It’s a very healthy dispute between all defenders. Odair opted for me and Bauermann in these last few games. I’m very happy to help Santos.” I hope it stays that way. Regardless of who plays, Santos keeps winning,” he concluded.

Now, the defender hopes to have another chance this Sunday, when Santos face Grêmio, at 18:30 (Brasilia time), away from home, for the first round of the Brazilian championship.
