Determined to offer healthy food to schoolchildren, Miriel comes up with the idea of ​​opening a cafeteria in a secret room! With the management of the place entrusted to the students who rotate between them each week according to their schedule.

“They’re going to renovate the secret room, turn it into a cafeteria, but we say in the series that it’s the same decor, it’s not a scam by the producers (laughs). This room, now that it’s opened and there’s a place where you can cook, we’ll use it.”This is where it all starts, was told by producer Sarah Farahmand as part of the CANNESERIES festival.

The authors of the series have the opportunity, in parallel with the lessons, to be a little more interested in the life of the students of the institute and highlight other types of recipes that several characters of the series, Solal and David (Liam Hellmann), will help to develop a prototype of the menu.

But this cafeteria also makes it possible to reflect the reality of culinary school or vocational students who do not always eat well, despite their appetite for gastronomy. The reality that everything begins to be made here became known more than three years after the development of the series.

“For the record, when the series started, during development, we visited several culinary schools, whether vocational high schools or institutes more like the Auguste Armand Institute, and they all told us that the students were actually eating very poorly.”– continued Sarah Farahmandi at our microphone. “They used to go for kebabs, eat chips, like all young people.
