Mark and Chloe continue their investigation
At dawn, Louis looks at the pictures his father took with his drone. Immediately, the teenager recognizes the van driver as the man who attacked Robin.
At high school, Louis tells Robin that he recognized the attacker in pictures of his father. If Robin thinks they can catch them, Louis reminds him that they don’t know what they’re doing yet. Therefore they cannot act. However, Robin is confident about the future because their parents make a good team.
In turn, Evan thanks Lauryn for talking about her project with her father. While he tries to find out if François is interested in his private clinic, the young woman points out to him that her father has seven laboratories and that he is looking to diversify. In other words, he is sure that he will like this project. His father is a little hesitant, Lauryn advises Evan to stand up to him.
In court, Cécile has conducted research on the company responsible for industrial recycling, and Basile Despres, the manager, has already had to deal with the court over the dark story of the toxic waste burial three years ago. Because this man has a record and could be dangerous, Cecil asks Chloe to be careful.
At Les Sauvages, Evan presents his project to François, who quickly stops him, realizing that what he cares about is the money this clinic will bring. Frustrated, Evan reminds her that he is a doctor and that his calling is to treat people. Therefore, his primary concern will always be the care and well-being of his patients.
On the way home, Evan calls Elizabeth to tell her about the disastrous interview. She then points out to him that they are investors, not patrons. The only thing for him is that Francois will invest in the project, despite his passion for medicine. As Evan worries that he failed to convince Françoise, Élisabeth replies that the businessman did his usual little act to impress her. Still, Elizabeth knows Lauryn is her father’s Achilles heel and lets her get away with everything. So he advises the doctor to link him to his project to encourage Francois to invest.
At the same time, Mark calls Chloe and indicates that he is hiding in front of Desprez’s company. Indeed, the journalist is convinced that Louis and Robin surprised Despres and Beaufort by burying toxic waste in the ground, and so he looks for proof. Chloe then asks her to call if she has any news and she will join him if she needs him.
Chloe later joins her husband and then tells the whole story. And it’s fair to say that Evan isn’t too comfortable with the idea of his wife joining Mark if something were to happen. That’s why he suggests calling the police. Only Chloe replies that they won’t do anything until they have proof for her. Mindful of her husband’s concerns, Chloe swears it will be over soon. When Evan asks her to follow him next time, Chloe promises him before kissing her.
Eve risks radiation
In the morning, the scientific police took some samples from the fake Thibaut Delclos house. In turn, Alex questions the owner of the building, who explains that he has a different set of keys. Two belong to his parents and the third belongs to his cleaning lady. While the officer tries to find out if anyone else could have entered the house, the owner replies that he has listed his apartment as a seasonal rental and has since had a dozen tenants.
During this time, Eve is walking and discovers the front page of the Midi Libre, which is devoted to an article about Aline’s death, as well as a seduction agency. Obviously, it doesn’t take long for word to spread through the school hallways.
At the police station, Manu confides in Alex about her breakup. Although not to rub salt in the wound, Alex points out that he hasn’t been this good with someone in a long time. That is why he asks her about the final nature of their separation. Manu cannot overcome Eve’s lie, he cannot trust her anymore.
Afterwards, Alex and Aya question Cedric Lupiak, the man who verbally attacked Allyn near the Lunell Arenas. If the latter admits that he was on bad terms with the deceased, he still denies that he is the author of the message and even more so that he killed him. Alex, convinced of his innocence, now wants to get hold of the man posing as Aline’s husband, and therefore hopes to have a quick supply of bullets.
At the end of the day, Eva is called to the director’s office. It must be said that after the publication of the article in Midi Libre, the principal received a number of calls from parents of students who are concerned and asking for an answer. As a result, he should inform the rector about the situation. Even if no decision is made at this point, Eva faces sanctions that could lead to a release. A blow to Eve.
