What if we talked about Jessica Jones coming back for a possible third season? We know that the Marvel hero – who has already delighted fans with a strong Netflix-based storyline – will be in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. But the adventure may not stop there, and we have every right to hope to see Krysten Ritter at the helm of her own series again.
“We will do it“
Brad Winderbaum, director of streaming, television and animation at Marvel Studios, was recently interviewed on the podcast. hero of the phase On when a character could be the subject of a revival project on Disney+: “It can happen sooner than you think– said Winderbaum.
When Ritter joined the podcast a little later, he also hinted that there’s still a lot to figure out with Jessica Jones now that she’s back in the MCU: “There were a lot of things that I thought were worth exploring and Brad and I talked about it. But I’m not going to give anything away because we’re going to do it“, said the interested person.
Who is Jessica Jones again?
Created by Melissa Rosenberg, Jessica Jones follows the title character played by Krysten Ritter, a former superhero turned private detective who opens her own detective agency, Alias Investigations, and works to stop the villain Kilgrave (the incredible David Tennant).
Jessica Jones is the only Marvel series other than Daredevil to last more than two seasons on Netflix, with three 13-episode seasons in 2015, 2018, and 2019.
A careful revival of defenders
If Marvel is working on a new Jessica Jones series, it would be the studio’s third project featuring the main Netflix character, following Daredevil (with Charlie Cox) and Punisher (with Jon Bernthal).
The former is already in the works for a third season of Bon Again , while the latter is in the works with a TV movie with the rather imprecise working title Marvel Studios Special Presentation Punisher . Both are expected to launch in 2026 on Disney+.
The three characters will appear in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, but it’s not yet known if they’ll share a stage together like they did in The Defenders days, the miniseries that brought everyone together, including Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
The first trailer of the new season was introduced to the public recently at the New York Comic Con. It features the return of Jessica Jones as well as the Daredevil fighter in her new costume. The season we will be able to discover in March 2026 on Disney+.
