In St. Petersburg, the shooting of the continuation of the franchise “Major Grom” continues. The Bubble Studios and Plus Studios team completed the production block with an action scene in which Igor Grom and his partner Dima Dubin confront a crowd of prisoners led by a local authority. The prison leader in this scene was played by stand-up comedian Evgeny Chebatkov. For Chebatkov, this role will be his film debut.
He spent more than two hours in the make-up chair. He was given plastic make-up, changing the contours of his face, “inserting” gold teeth and tattooing his face. Moreover, for the role, Eugene had to shave his head. In this image, Chebatkov spent three shifts. Also, the comedian took part in the work on the script of the project. He, along with Artem Gabrelyanov, Nikolai Shishkin and Ekaterina Krasner, was engaged in the dialogues of the film Major Grom: The Game.
Oleg Trofim called me, and I remember how he immediately asked: “Will you become a bandit?” Of course, I agreed, and when I realized that he meant cinema, I was doubly delighted. Together we came up with the features of my character, his mood and slang – I was allowed to have a hand in the dialogue of my character. Already on the set, I was struck by the make-up, but, to be honest, my own bald head was even more impressive for me, ”Chebatkov shared.

The main roles in the film “Major Grom: The Game” are played by Tikhon Zhiznevsky, Alexander Seteykin, Lyubov Aksenova and Alexei Maklakov. The plot of the sequel develops a year after the events of the first part. Unexpected popularity falls on Igor Grom: he is recognized on the streets, considered a hero, a comic book is about to be released about him. In the new film, he will have to pass the test of fame, as well as face the mysterious supervillain, nicknamed the Ghost. The main location for the events of the film and the battlefield will again be an alternative St. Petersburg.
