The hiatus is finally coming to an end: Lupine 3, still directed by Omar Sy, will be available on Netflix on October 5th.
Before yesterday, fans of the series inspired by the world of Arsene Lupine had their brains in a frenzy due to a cleverly organized marketing campaign by Netflix, which aimed to guess the date of this third eagerly awaited episodes.
But the wait won’t be so long after all. Unlike the one that takes us away from the publication of these seven new episodes, which will therefore not arrive on the platform for five and a half months.

The release date of the third part was hidden on Netflix
This Wednesday, April 19, Netflix France entertained Lupine fans by posting a photo on social media showing a billboard from a Paris forum with the Lupin’s 3 release date removed: “Lupine part 3 will be released —/–/2023”.

Repeated advertising campaign in several cities of the world, or The platform’s official global Twitter accountOn which a sentence could be read yesterday “LUPIN DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW PART 3 PREMIERE —/–/2023” (“Lupine doesn’t want you to know that Part 3 is coming out in —/–/2023”), accompanied by a photo where you can make out the number 10 at the bottom of the billboard.
Should we take this as a sign that a Lupine sequel will be coming to Netflix in October? Or rather, the 10th of the next few months? Suspension was then at its height.
But that was without taking into account the video posted online by Netflix yesterday, in which Omar Sy himself, dressed as Assane Diop, launched a real treasure hunt for the public and fans of the series.

“You know me, I’m a gamer. Netflix just wanted to give you a Lupine Part 3 release date. We’re not going to do that. It’s going to be a little more complicated. I hid the date. You somewhere. On Netflix. Find it for yourself. Have fun”.
To find the exact release date for Part 3, you actually need to log into the platform, go to your profile picture section (“Edit Profile”) and scroll down to the section dedicated to Lupine’s characters. The photos there had been modified by Netflix and each one now showed a number except the last one, which was an exclamation mark.
And by putting the figures in the right order, we got a priori three possible combinations of dates: May 1, 2023, May 10, 2023, or October 5, 2023. The last hypothesis, which, as you now understand, was good!
What does Lupine Part 3 offer?
If the end of Lupin Part 2, released on Netflix on June 11, 2021, served as the end of the series created by George Kay and Francois Ouzan, the finale also left many questions. About the Future of a Gentleman Thief by Omar Sy.
“I avenged my father. I had to protect my family. I wanted to stay in the shadows, but I came back into the light. Now watch me fade away.”Assan Diop said in the first teaser of the third part, which was published last September.
In these highly anticipated new episodes, available October 5 on Netflix, Assange Diop has disappeared from circulation and is trying to forget it. An expert in the art of disguise, he does everything he can to remain undetected. It’s a tough task when you become the most wanted man in France.
Because if some see in this spiritual son of Arsene Lupine a hero, even a symbol, to whom they do not hesitate to worship in the street gathering with his image in masks, others perceive only a criminal who must be stopped above. all the rest.
Now in hiding, Asan must learn to live away from his wife and son. Faced with the suffering they endure because of him, Asan can’t take it anymore and decides to return to Paris to make them some crazy proposition: to leave France and start a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are never far away, and an unexpected return will upset his entire plan.
Around Omar Sy, fans of the series will logically find Ludivine Sagnier, Sufiane Guerab, Shirine Boutella or even Clotilde Hesme in this third part of the adventures of Assane Diop. Even if Clotilda Hesme, aka Juliet Pellegrini, told us recently as part of Seria Mania, we will have a rather small role in these new episodes: “If you blink, you might not see me (laughs)”.
Lupine Season 3, consisting of seven episodes, will be available on Netflix on October 5.
