Today the author’s epic is one of the most successful and everything shows that it will be told again in a television format as happened with Harry Potter which is already in progress.
‘Twilight’ will return with a TV series: that much is known
According to The Hollywood Reporter portal, Lionsgate would be behind this idea, as it currently has a team of writers in charge of the script, which is still debating whether to follow Meyer’s version closely or have small changes.
The project has yet to be confirmed on which platform it will be broadcast on, as it is rumored that the studio, which owns the rights to the franchise, plans to lead the development of the project before purchasing the copyright.
On the other hand, it is believed that Meyer, the original creator of the plot, is actively involved in the “Twilight” series, but so far it has not been confirmed for sure.
As for the actors who could join, there are no casting dates yet or if the original cast will ever be asked to reprise their old roles, which would be a pleasant surprise for fans.
The idea is that this new version of “Twilight” will appeal to old fans and new ones who were enthralled with the tapes that grossed more than $3.4 billion.
As expected, after the announcement, many netizens wanted to know what the actors thought about the series, but so far no one has commented.
