It’s official: the investigators of the Research Unit, led by Xavier Deluc, will soon return to TF1 for new episodes!
Two years ago, the impressively long-running detective series that hit the front page in 2006 suffered the same fate as Alice Nevers and Profiling, ending after 14 seasons and 163 episodes.
However, the channel decided to offer the public a double final episode, titled “A New Beginning”, which will be broadcast in April 2022 and will be marked by the return of many former cast members, including Linda Hardy, Christelle Labode and Virginie Cagliari.
Since then everyone thought TF1 was done with Bernier, Lucas et al. But, in fact, it is not so. As the site showed VL-mediaThe research unit will soon return for two new 52-minute episodes, which are due to begin filming in Reunion in May.
Of course, motivated by the good audience achieved by the “finale” a year ago, which collected an average of 5.07 million viewers, the channel decided to revive the series with a new double episode or a TV movie, an event that has to be said again. The story is closed in “Reunion” mode.

TF1 has confirmed that the cast of Season 14 will be returning, meaning fans can expect to find Xavier Delux, Franck Semonin, Fabien Carat, Félicité Chaton, Stéphane Su Mongo and Alice Thielroy in the new adventure of the Research Unit.
According to our information, these two new episodes, titled “Mortelle Randonnée”, were written by Laura Fontaine, Denis Alamercer and Jan Le Gall. And the sale is provided by Abel Ferry (Le Saut du diable).
