After months of rumors, a new report reveals that Marvel has offered Adam Driver the role of Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in its upcoming Fantastic Four adaptation.
As ComingSoon reports, whistleblower Jeff Snyder reiterated this in his podcast “The Hot Mic.” When asked about this, he not only confirmed the rumour, but added that from what he heard, it is now up to the actor to accept or reject the role.
I heard the driver accepted the offer. I think it was about 5 months ago, he was the first name we connected to the Fantastic Four. I heard he went there… for Reed. I also mentioned Doctor Doom, but he basically played Doctor Doom in Star Wars.
In doing so, the journalist confirms a report by Daniel Richtman, another scoop, published earlier this week that Adam Driver was now in final negotiations to play the iconic character.
This isn’t the first time the Star Wars actor’s name has been mentioned for a role. Jeff Snyder spread the rumor without confirming it. Elsewhere, Adam Driver was rumored to be “front-runner for the part” (“Beyond the Trailer,” YouTube).
Meanwhile, other rumors talk about Elvis star Austin Butler being considered for the role of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, in the same feature film.
A series of comics You are a great foursome Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby of Marvel, it debuted in 1961 and was the first title to bring together a team of superheroes at Marvel.
The Fantastic Four should see the light of day in Phase 6 of the MCU, namely on February 12, 2025 on our French screens.
