The end of an era, of course. Of course, several spin-offs from The Walking Dead universe will see the light of day, including Dead City (a series centered around Negan and Maggie), which is expected to air on OCS this coming June. But after the end of the main series, at the end of the eighth season comes the future end of its first spin-off Fear the Walking Dead.
Originally conceived as an exploration of the early days of the outbreak, Fear the Walking Dead has seen its story jump several times in time to catch up with the Walking Dead timeline. Thus, connections between the two series emerged, namely the transfer of characters from one program to another.
This is especially true of Morgan (played by Lennie James), a former survivor of the main series left to live out his own adventures… by integrating the Fear the Walking Dead crew. If he doesn’t appear again in The Walking Dead during the finale, the latter will still play a major role in the outcome of its spin-off.
The end of the series will have a special flavor for the British actor, as he confided to our colleagues at SFX magazine:
Getting to this point with Morgan is something I never thought I could do, nor did I dare. I could never imagine everything that happened. I’m happy with how the series ended. I can’t wait to move on, but I will really miss the people I worked with. I will miss the filming routine and everyday life. And also every year in November and April, there will always be times when I think, “I have to do something about this time…”
What if the end of Fear the Walking Dead doesn’t mean the end of Morgan’s story? If the latter survived the end of the series, why wouldn’t it be possible for him to appear in one of the upcoming spin-offs (Dead City, Daryl Dixon, Rick & Michonne) or even his own spin-off. is it off
