Top Gun Maverick: Looking for Tom Cruise to airlift Charles de Gaulle

How is the flight going in real life? Did “Top Gun” really make the calls? What is a “call sign”? To celebrate the extension speech, we approached the airline to answer these questions. And search for Tom Cruise.

Top Gun, is this really just fiction? When the sequel to the movie starring Tom Cruise hit our screens, we went to test the real aircraft carrier: Charles de Gaulle. A real small town on the water that can accommodate almost two thousand people and which we surveyed up and down to discover its various professions, meet pilots … and look for Maverick.

Thirty-six years after the release of the first opus, signed by the late Tony Scott, Joseph Kosinski controls a sequel called Top Gun Maverick. Still the protagonist, played by Tom Cruise, returns to work and plays instructors for a new generation of pilots. Among them are Bradley ‘Buckle’ Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of his former winger goose (Anthony Edwards), who tragically died.

While Tom Cruise highlights the training he and his partners went through to be able to shoot fighter jets in flight, we asked the pilots about their abduction, their daily lives, and their relationship with Top Gun. Attending flights (or catapults) and landings.

The plane carrier will not be able to land Charles de Gaulle, Maverick will be in French cinemas on May 25, Cruise noticed after a detour, after Tom Cruise made a big comeback after a 30-year absence from the Cannes Film Festival. For the occasion, the stairs were spread out over the red carpet as the actor held a masterclass before French patrol planes flew over the palace while climbing the stairs.
