The long-awaited superhero movie The flashfrom DC Studios, starring Ezra Miller, won a new trailer on Tuesday, April 25, ahead of the film’s first full screening at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
The flash will open up the DC multiverse by bringing together versions of several iconic superheroes. The first trailer revealed that there will be at least two different Barry Allen – the Flash – played by Miller, from different dimensions.
In the film, Barry travels to an alternate world, where his mother was not killed, to prevent her death. In doing so, he is trapped in another reality where there are no superheroes. The main timeline Barry must team up with an otherworldly Barry, as well as the Kryptonian superheroine Supergirl, played by Sasha Calle, to stop General Zod, played by Michael Shannon.
If all those alternate universe superheroes aren’t enough, The flash it will also feature two different Batmans. Michael Keaton’s Batman and Ben Affleck’s Batman will appear in the film. Affleck’s Batman and Miller’s Flash met for the first time Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicesince 2016, and both have made special appearances in Suicide squad.
They joined Justice League in 2017 and The flash will be a big return – and likely one last appearance as new DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran plan to reboot the DC universe.
The cast also includes Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú as Barry’s parents, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and aquamanTemuera Morrison returns as Thomas Curry, father of Aquaman. The flash is directed by Andy Muschietti, director of horror films It.
The flash premieres in Brazilian theaters on June 15.
