The Flash could have a sequel, says the director

After several controversies about the film — such as the cases involving the lead actor, Ezra Miller, and the merger between Warner and Discovery —, the live-action Fast is finally hitting theaters, scheduled for a June release.

A possible continuation of the feature film is already being considered between the director and those involved in the project. However, the character’s future still seems to be decided. Also, with James Gunn taking over the DCU (DC Extended Universe), a lot could change in the coming days when it comes to characters in the multiverse.

We didn’t talk about it. I think we are all waiting to see how this movie does. Sure, there’s excitement in continuing the story, especially if the movie is successful. Of course, there is an architecture in DC that is forming and being created. And the question is: will this new architecture absorb this history? The good thing about the multiverse is that this is possible. The multiverse allows for all these different worlds to coexist and interact, and so hopefully, we don’t know yet. It is the truth.

Andy Muschietti, director of the film.

According to Muschietti’s statements about a possible sequence of Fasteverything indicates that, if the film does poorly at the box office, it could join the group of dozens of projects rejected by DC.
