Netflix reveals the first images of the royal romance between Prince William and Kate Middleton in season 6 of ‘The Crown’

‘The Crown’ enters a new decade with its sixth season, which will arrive at the end of the year to the Netflix series catalog. The series, a “fictional dramatization” (legal disclaimer) about the life of Queen Elizabeth II, the political events that marked her reign and the most important figures of her life, will come to an end this year with its season 6, and already begin to be published the first images, including those of a young Prince William and Kate Middleton at the beginning of their romance.

Prince William begins his university studies at the prestigious St Andrew’s School, determined to lead as normal a life as possible while he can. There he will meet college student Kate Middleton, from Berkshire. When the two meet for the first time on campus, they begin a new romance and a new future for The British Crown..

Ed McVey will play Prince William in the last episodes of this sixth season. This will be Ed’s professional screen debut, having starred in ‘The Old Vic’ and ‘Hammersmith Riverside Studios’ following his graduation from the Drama Center London in 2021. For his part, newcomer Meg Bellamy was chosen for the role of Kate Middleton after sending a casting test following a call on social networks.

Ed and Meg filmed the new season in St Andrews, Scotland, earlier this year, enjoying some of the actual places his characters frequented twenty years ago. A behind-the-scenes picture shows Ed and Meg lounging and posing in front of the Northpoint Cafe in St Andrews, which claims to be “where Kate met Wills”.

The Crown is coming to Netflix later this year.

The cast also includes Imelda Staunton like Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce Like Prince Philip lesley manville Like Princess Margaret Dominic West like prince charles elizabeth debicki like Princess Diana, Claudia Harrison like Princess Anne and olivia williams as Camilla Parker Bowles.

Bertie Carvel assumes the role of Tony Blair. Salim Daw is Mohamed Al Fayed and Khalid Abdalla is Dodi Fayed. Luther Ford is Prince Harry. Rufus Kampa (Prince William) and Flynn Edwards (Prince Harry) will reprise their roles for season 5 of ‘The Crown’.
