With more than 25 attractions, Virada Automobilistica will have PCD-adapted karts

Event organized by the Government of the State of São Paulo together with the Speed ​​​​Motor Clube

The first Virada Automobilística will take place between 12 and 14 May, an event with 48 uninterrupted hours of totally free attractions for the whole family, which will be held at the Kartódromo Internacional de Birigui – Speed ​​​​Park.

Virada Automobilística is organized by the Government of the State of São Paulo in collaboration with the Speed ​​​​​​Motor Clube and will have more than 25 attractions for all ages and tastes, as well as being a fully inclusive event. On Sunday (14th), adapted karts will be available for PCDs, so they can have the opportunity to race at a world-class kart track, such as Speed​​Park.

Who is looking forward to this opportunity is William Paula de Souza, 67 years old. Passionate about motorsports and fan of Ayrton Senna, he has already driven PCD-adapted karts and is ready to participate in the Virada Automobilística.

“Since I was a child I have been passionate about motorsports. Of the riders I have followed throughout their careers, Senna has been the greatest of them all,” explained William.

“It’s very exciting and rewarding. It’s a way to get rid of stress, to realize yourself. I really like karting.

During the 48 hours of Virada Automobilistica, there will be different karting options for all ages. From electric karts for children aged 2 to 4, to indoor and professional karts. In the case of the PCDs, they will have adapted karts with accelerator and steering wheel brake.

“The kart has no transmission or clutch. The main commands are acceleration and braking, so they are transferred from the pedals to the steering wheel, to the hands. Whether it’s an indoor or professional kart, two levers at the steering wheel solve this problem and allow a PCD to drive a kart,” William explained.

In addition to the kart races, the public will have various attractions available such as the Track Day for cars and motorcycles, various simulators of various motor sports, electronic toys, recreational workshops, as well as a gamer arena for e-sports enthusiasts.

At the Speed ​​​​Park there will also be shows, on and off the track, with activities such as Drift, Free Style with Jorge Negretti (ten times Brazilian motocross champion, as well as several other titles) and Wheeling, with the presence of the world champion Jefferson Matthew. Other attractions include the car show and the aerobatics show.

Anyone interested in participating in the Virada Automobilística can already guarantee their presence at the event through the Speed ​​​​Park application, where the user registers and guarantees their Virada Passport.

The Virada Passport will be completely free, giving you the opportunity to participate in all the attractions of the event. It is valid every day and the public can enter and exit the event as often as they wish. It will also be possible to register at the entrance of Virada Automobilistica during the weekend.

In addition to the aforementioned attractions, the public will also have at their disposal a food court of about 400 square meters, covered, with tables and chairs, live music, more than 10 food truck options (hamburgers, pastries, Japanese food, drinks, ice cream, açaí and much more).

With approximately 1.3 kilometers of runway, the location allows for more than 40 different layouts and an area of ​​more than 130,000 square meters. The Speed ​​​​Park – Kartódromo Internacional de Birigui is located at Rua Hagime Saita, 4001, access via Rodovia Marechal Rondon, km 524 (between Birigui and Araçatuba).
