California hosted a special event for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. It was dedicated to the popular Netflix series Wednesday, which is a remake of the iconic Addams Family. The meeting was attended by all the main stars of the sensational project: Jenna Ortega, Gwendolyn Christie, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman.
Katherine appeared in front of the photographers in a gothic image that was inspired by her character Marticia Addams. Gwendolyn Christie also came in black. Jenna Ortega decided to add some bright colors to her outfit and wore an orange turtleneck under her jacket.

At the beginning of the year, Wednesday was renewed for a second season. An exact release date for the new episodes has yet to be announced. However, the showrunners have already shared some details. The creators promise more scenes with other members of the Addams family and more horror instead of romance. The decision to put the romance on the backburner may be due to the controversy surrounding Xavier’s Percy Hynes White. Former classmates accused the actor of sexual harassment, and many doubt that he will return to his role.
Tim Burton’s Wednesday series premiered on Netflix on November 23 last year. The plot of the show was centered on the story of the daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams, who is forced to settle into a new school. Wednesday gets into an unusual educational institution. Vampires, werewolves and sirens study here. The series broke the record for viewing English-language shows on the famous streaming platform. In the first week after the premiere, the Addams Family spin-off was viewed more than 341.2 million times. It later became the most viewed series of 2022.
