while kicking ass The Last of Us and spent time as a successful warrior in the Mandalorian (at least with the help of stuntmen), we have to admit that the idea of Pedro Pascal joining the Gladiator the rest worries us. Does anyone remember what happened the last time they set foot on a battlefield? game of Thrones fans sure do. However, the allure of Ridley Scott’s next project is enough to put him at risk for serious head or eye injury.
This is just the latest piece of casting for the sequel to Scott’s 2000 historical epic, which has been gaining momentum, enlisting Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn and, returning from the original, Connie Nielsen as Lucilla .
David Scarpa’s screenplay advances the story in time to follow Lucius (here played by Mescal), Lucilla’s son, who has a more difficult time with annoying Roman senators and emperors (including an apparent blunder by Keoghan).
Scott is preparing to make the new film and Paramount has scheduled it for a November 22, 2024.
