Bauermann sees the evolution despite the defeat and believes in the qualification of Santos in the Sudamericana

Santos lost 1-0 against Newell’s Old Boys, this Tuesday, for the third round of the group stage of the Sudamericana, away from home. According to defender Eduardo Bauermann, the club have evolved on the pitch despite the loss.

“We had played a great game, creating chances and keeping possession. We felt a certain evolution in this sense. Santos now turns his attention to the Brazilian championship. The team will face Cruzeiro next Saturday, at 4pm (Brasilia time), at the Arena IndependĂȘncia, for the fourth round of the tournament. The South Americans’ next match will be on May 24, against Audax Italiano, away from home, at 9pm.
